Kaksipulsariset kellot: Yökohtaiset radianit vastaavat taivaan kelloja

Yayın:

A hidden verification in double systems Pulsars, or pulsars, are neutron stars that emit electromagnetic radiation from their magnetic poles, are highly magnetized, and rotate. These objects become very useful tools for astronomers due to their extremely regular cycles. For a single pulsar, there is a very precise interval between pulses, ranging from milliseconds to seconds. This regularity turns pulsars into a special observational tool.

There are three different classes of pulsars, classified according to the source of their electromagnetic radiation: rotating pulsars, accumulating pulsars, and magnetars. All of these are neutron stars, but their observable behavior and underlying physics are quite different.
